Lessons learned
Field work and site characterization provided effective base-lines that allowed the team to assess the best sites for biodiversity monitoring. It was important to visit the sites where the local community had reported wildlife sightings, especially for jaguars and their prey. This allowed the team to allocate feline tracks and deploy the devices close to the tracks.
