Dipisha
Bhujel

Co-founder & Chairwoman

Dipisha Bhujel is a Menstrual Equity activist, Climate Justice advocate and social entrepreneur committed to eradicating period poverty in Nepal. Her dedication to women’s empowerment and environmental protection spans over eight years, during which she has actively contributed to various national and international organizations at both advocacy and operational levels. With her passion for menstrual health education, she has reached over 20,000 young people across Nepal, equipping them with vital knowledge on menstruation and menstrual health management. As the co-founder and chairperson of Sparśa, a pioneering women-led non-profit that produces and sells affordable, chemical-free, compostable menstrual pads made from banana fiber, Dipisha addresses both the environmental toll and health risks of plastic-based menstrual products while channeling profits into empowering women through menstrual health awareness and advocacy campaigns and by creating green jobs. She envisions Sparśa as a transformative initiative that could serve as a blueprint for similar models across the Global South.
