On November 9th, ICCROM, ICOMOS and IUCN jointly hosted a Knowledge Café on the PANORAMA Nature-Culture Thematic Community at the International Scientific Symposium “Living Heritage & Climate Change” organized by the Advisory Committee of ICOMOS.

This session aimed at introducing the PANORAMA Nature-Culture Thematic Community and at discussing the importance of experience sharing and peer-learning with the wider membership of the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), which includes 10,500 members in over 150 countries and 28 specialised International Scientific Committees.

Three solution providers from France, Australia, and Italy shared their experience with PANORAMA and how solutions can inspire positive uptake promoting the sustainable development of heritage places.

The session was joined by 80+ heritage practitioners and researchers working at and with historical urban areas, cultural landscapes, archaeological sites and diverse heritage places around the world. The Knowledge Café offered the opportunity to introduce ICOMOS members to PANORAMA and to showcase how they can share their instances of success and solutions on the platform.

In December 2021, the Nature-Culture Thematic Community will host a two-sessions online write-shop (December 3rd and 13th) dedicated to ICOMOS members and heritage practitioners interested in sharing their Nature-Culture success stories and in preparing solutions to be published on the PANORAMA platform. Individuals or institutions interested in joining the write-shop should contact the organisers via email at nfr[at]iccrom.org.
