Lyngdoh

I am from Shillong, Meghalaya, North East India, belonging to the Indigenous Khasi community.  I am the Deputy Executive Director of a grassroots indigenous NGO - NESFAS. I have a master's in Journalism and Mass Communication and have been working on developing narratives for strengthening indigenous storytelling. My focus areas are participatory videos, documentation, visual media and photography. I am also an Indigenous Youth Fellow of the Indigenous Partnership, Rome, supporting the communications unit remotely. In NESFAS, I dedicate myself to developing strategies for Communication for Rural Development while at the same time initiating the best ways of sharing “Local voices for Global audiences”.
