Mwenje
Mr. Mwenje has extensive experience in historic urban and building conservation and management. He has overseen a number of conservation projects within Lamu town and coordinates the conservation initiatives with the complimentary roles of urban development control executed by the local authority. He has been responsible for preparation of the Lamu Old Town State of conservation reporting since 2007.
He has training in urban and building conservation and material sciences and has qualifications in areas such as Integrated Territorial and Urban Conservation, Conservation and Management of Historic Buildings, Conservation of Timber Structures, Disaster Risk Reduction to Cultural Heritage, Space Technologies for Management of World Heritage Sites, Stone Conservation, and Tourism Development.
