project manager, architect

Project manager at the Finnish Heritage Agency, Helsinki. I am an architect specialised in repair, surveying, restauration, and conservation of 20th century buildings. The projects typically are in the public sector or organisations that govern built heritage. Part-time also teaching history and conservation of architecture to masters students in Aalto University.
I am a constantly educating myself in the field of built heritage, restoration, and sustainability of the built environment. ICCROM courses have been especially interesting (MARC 2011, PNC23), so have been the Docomomo conferences in Europe. Currently interested in capacity building related to long-term climate change adaptation strategies for modern built heritage, nature-culture interlinkage and the interdisciplinary collaboration required for a holistic approach to preservation.
