In this new guidebook for monitoring the outcomes and impacts of Nature-based Solutions to climate change adaptation, PANORAMA could not be missing.
This is a practical guide for planners and practitioners to better understand the outcomes and impacts of on-the-ground projects that work with and enhance nature to reduce the negative impacts of climate change on people (or ‘Ecosystem-based Adaptation’ (EbA)). The global climate is rapidly changing, and there is a need for people across the planet to adapt to the negative impacts of such changes. That’s why understanding the outcomes of the interventions put in place and learning from good practice on climate adaptation is more important than ever.
As EbA is gaining significant importance in the context of climate change and biodiversity conservation policies, PANORAMA established a Thematic Community on this topic in 2017. By now, there are already 134 successfully applied case studies curated in this Community. Furthermore, the publication "Solutions in Focus - Ecosystem-Based Adaptation from Mountains to Oceans" was released in 2018. A selection of 30 applied EbA solutions which can also be found online shows that EbA is a diverse approach, being implemented successfully by a broad range of actors and organizations.
