How can we harness knowledge more effectively to drive nature conservation in Asia? What type of networks, platforms and tools do we need to exchange with each other? How do we build on the knowledge and wisdom of communities that have been protecting nature at the local level for millennia? In which formats do we package and share what we are learning?
These are some of the questions which participants of the recent Knowledge Management for Biodiversity (KM4B) Asia regional workshop discussed. The workshop, organized in Bangkok, Thailand by the Secretariat of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in collaboration with the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity, brought together participants from over 20 countries across the continent, representing governments, civil society, as well as. regional and international organizations.
