Professor Dr. Anton Caragea has been involved in Sustainable Development projects and activities for over 25 years since PhD completion.
His activities and experiences spanned over 30 countries, covering most regions of the world, dedicated to improving the livelihoods, food security and environment of those living in rural and underdeveloped areas by using the tools of tourism, education development and integrated-development and growth solutions .
For the last 20 years I have been identifying, designing, planning, and providing technical backstopping and managerial leadership to, donor-funded (including the European Tourism Academy, European Diplomatic Academy, European Council on Tourism and Trade and European Council on International Relations) international multi-country projects in broad, dynamic and challenging areas of biodiversity conservation and sustainable use, sustainable agriculture and rural development. This includes monitoring and evaluation and alignment with environment and social safeguards.
