Researcher - Conservationist

I am a young Forest Science Researcher and Conservationist, with a Doctorate of Science degree (PhD) in Agronomy, Forestry, and Ecosystem management, held in 2020. I carried out my PhD research on ecology, conservation, and restoration of biodiversity in forest ecosystems in Benin, focused on endangered tree species. In 2016 and 2017, I graduated successively with a Professional Master's in Management of Forest and Protected Areas and a Master of Research degree in Management of Natural Resources. My research primarily focuses on the ecology, restoration, and conservation of biodiversity in tropical ecosystems. I am bilingual in French and English. I have authored and co-authored scientific publications and participated in numerous international scientific events, showcasing my leadership skills and capacity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to disseminate research outcomes effectively.
I currently work as an Assistant at the Laboratory of Forestry Studies and Research (LERF) at the University of Parakou.
I have been actively involved since 2022 in a regional project focused on gender inclusion in agricultural research for more impactful results in West Africa, supported by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) of Canada. This project involved action research, capacity-building for stakeholders, training for five PhDs and ten Masters, and political and institutional lobbying in three West African countries (Benin, Côte d'Ivoire and Niger).
