Mukakamari
Ms Dancilla Mukakamari is the National Coordinator of the Rwandese Association of Ecologists (ARECO-RWANDA NZIZA), member of IUCN. She has more than twenty five years of experience in biodiversity conservation and community based natural resource management, environment protection, food security and nutrition, climate change adaptation and mitigation, gender mainstreaming, awareness and advocacy through project management and networking;
· She has worked with farmers especially women groups for community driven forestation and tree and bamboo planting for landscape restoration and livelihood improvement in rural areas;
· Through the management of several projects and other works, she has acquired practical expertise in community empowerment and promotion of community enterprises based on natural resource management;
· She is involved in policy dialogue and advocacy through national and international platforms such as Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA), the Gender and Water Alliance(GWA), the International Network on POP Elimination(IPEN), the African Network on Sustainable Development(REFADD), the Central African Moist Forests Ecosystems(CEFDHAC), the Rwanda Environmental NGOs, etc.
· Over the years, she has worked on institutional capacity through trainings and mainstreaming environment and climate change and gender in policy, strategies and program documents.
