Mr. Saeed is a seasoned development professional with more than eighteen years of experience. He is currently associated with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). His broad expertise spans various areas such as project management, climate change, program communications, and knowledge management. Rooted in a background of communications and knowledge management, he has acquired extensive and diverse work experience in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
His work experience in Pakistan includes directly working in coordination with the Pakistan’s Ministry of Climate Change, Pakistan Environment Protection Agencies, Forest, Environment and Wildlife Departments at provincial level, Academia and Media. He represents IUCN at various forums. He has coordinated a project for Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir to develop the Sustainable Development Strategy, and development of the State of Environment Report and IEE/EIA guidelines for key sectors. He has also managed two projects on climate change, which were funded by the OXFAM and United Nations Environment Programme.
Mr. Saeed is well versed at stakeholder engagement, and at present, he is serving as the primary contact person for liaising with the 43 Member organizations of IUCN in Pakistan. In this capacity, he is responsible for fostering and maintaining effective relationships with these member organizations, ensuring that their voices, concerns, and contributions are well-integrated into IUCN's initiatives and activities in Pakistan.
