Director/Holoce Ecological Conservation Research Institute(HECRI)

I am a doctor of entomology. I opened Holoce Ecological Conservation Research Institute(HECRI) on July 1997 with the goal of letting people realize a deep respect for nature and life. Since 2005 I have been focusing conservation of endangered species such as Apollo butterfly, Dung beetle and Giant water bug which are designated as endangered species in Korea.  And I have been carrying out caterpillars' taxonomy and ecology and published related several papers and 6 books.  Also I have been writing column about conservation, climate change or industrial utilization of insects. And I'm working as a YouTube creator of Hib(Holoce insect broadcasting) since 2020.
