BIOGRAPHY.
Kevin M. Kamuya is undertaking a MSC in Project Management and planning at the University of Nairobi on part time basis. Between 2008 to 2016 he has worked with Utooni Development Organization in Kenya promoting sustainable land management practices .The NGO won the UNDP Equator Initiative award in the year 2014 that was awarded in Newyork city during the 69th UN general summit. The organization was also accredited to the UNCCD the year 2015.
He has worked in the environment sector as a program manager, consultant and program co-ordinator to mobilise resources, deliver training, facilitate capacity building, support policy and co-ordinate programs on ecosystem restoration and management.
Building local capacities and creating multi stakeholder environments to enhance linkages between nature conservation, food production and poverty reduction is key in his work.
He has worked as a consultant with civil societies in Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Togo and Chad to promote sustainable land management practices with an additional focus in enhancing the capacities of communities and practitioners to deal with the topic of desertification, land degradation and water scarcity.
