Letícia
Benavalli

Founder & CEO

I’m Letícia Benavalli, from brazil. My professional journey is characterized by a profound commitment to environmental conservation, community empowerment, and sustainable development. With a BSc and Licentiate degree in Biological Sciences, a Master's Degree in Ecology and Natural Resources Conservation, and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Wildlife Conservation Practice from the University of Oxford, I have cultivated expertise in landscape ecology, wildlife management, and human-carnivore conflict. This academic foundation, coupled with hands-on experience and a passion for advocacy, led me to found and direct Pró-Onça Institute, an NGO dedicated to large carnivore conservation, women's empowerment in science, community-based biodiversity solutions, and climate change mitigation. My motivation stems from a desire to create meaningful change, empower communities, and safeguard our planet's precious ecosystems for future generations. As a leader in conservation entrepreneurship, I am driven to address pressing environmental challenges and foster sustainable solutions that benefit both wildlife and people.
