I hold a B.Sc. in Environmental Science from Egerton University, Kenya and M.Sc. in Tropical Aquatic Ecology from University of Bremen, Germany. I have ten years experience working in natural resources management, biodiversity conservation, agriculture and community livelihoods and climate change. I am a researcher and had previously worked with the National Museums of Kenya as a research fellow in charge of important bird and biodiversity areas, Nature Kenya as conservation programmes officer, State Department of Fisheries as a senior fisheries officer and currently a Lecturer at Egerton University Department of Natural Resources. I am passionate about ecological research, co-management of natural resources, biodiversity conservation geared towards climate change adaptation and promotion of sustainable livelihoods.
