Makumba

Steven Makumba is an environmental educator and environmental consultant with six years’ experience working with communities, lead farmers, schools, teachers and stakeholders in promoting environmental conservation and management through impacting capacity building for collective actions. Steven possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Forest, he graduated in 2016 from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Steven is a founder of NatureKit which is a youth movement working to nurture youths to be passionate environmental leaders, hence they take a leading/active role in providing awareness and advocacy to their communities, schools and homes. NatureKit mentor youths in environmental leadership program on conservation of endangered mammals namely; pangolin, elephants and lions. NatureKit also mentor youths in environmental activism on climate change, plastic pollution and deforestation. NatureKit is established to ensure environmental conservation to improve community livelihood and conserve biodiversity.
