Established in September, the UNESCO Chair is committed to perform extensive The UNESCO Chair in ICT to develop and promote sustainable tourism in World Heritage Sites has been established at USI - Unviersità della Svizzera italiana in 2013. It is committed to perform research and teaching on how Information Communication Technologies (ICT), especially the internet, can be effectively used to develop and promote sustainable tourism at the World Heritage Sites. It collaborates with local communities and stakeholders to empower them and raise awareness on the value of tangible and intangible heritage.
