NAHR

National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NAHR) works to enhance the development and stability of local communities through awareness raising and increasing access to basic services as well as building the capacity of Yemeni people, especially women and youth to be able to participate in making decisions that lead to peaceful society and sustainable development. 

NAHR Vision: A world where everyone enjoys stable and sustainable living. 

NAHR Mission: To empower individuals and communities to have equal access to basic needs and rights. 

NAHR mandate Objectives are: 

1. Raise awareness of the importance of investing in education and health, building capacities of youth and women, and enhancing their role and opportunities in participating in the development process, decision-making and activating the humanitarian response. 

2. Contribute to efforts and actions aimed at eliminating the social and legal obstacles that limit the access of women and youth to decision-making positions in political and economic affairs.  

3. Raise the participation of Yemeni communities that are affected by armed conflict in the relief process and contribute to the provision of basic services, conflict resolution, and advocacy for a culture of peace and rejection of a culture of hatred, violence and war.  

4. Contribute to improving the quality of information and ensuring the availability of development indicators and humanitarian response for using them in planning, assessment and measuring the impact for sustainable development programs.
