Anthropologist

As an anthropologist specializing in climate change adaptation, socio-economic assessments, and environmental sustainability, I possess extensive expertise in integrating qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to investigate complex socio-environmental challenges. Currently serving as an Anthropologist at the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER) of BRAC University, I lead and contribute to multifaceted projects that address the vulnerabilities and impacts of climate change in Bangladesh. My research interests encompass Climate Change and Anthropology, Environmental Anthropology, Gender and Climate Change, Health and Climate Change, Indigenous Communities, and Climate-Induced Migration.

With a rigorous academic foundation from Jahangirnagar University, I have developed proficiency in designing participatory research tools, conducting field investigations, and analyzing socio-environmental dynamics in climate-vulnerable regions. I am adept at employing advanced analytical tools such as SPSS, Atlas.ti, and Nvivo to generate evidence-based insights. Over the course of my career, I have managed and implemented diverse projects addressing critical issues, including water security, disaster preparedness, and climate-induced mental health challenges. These initiatives, funded by leading organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and BRAC, have refined my expertise in field coordination, comprehensive data analysis, and policy advocacy.

Through collaborative engagements, I have contributed to the development of climate-resilient strategies, evidence-based policy recommendations, and capacity-building initiatives, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainable development and community empowerment. Beyond my research endeavors, I actively participate in capacity-building programs, providing training and designing frameworks aimed at enhancing resilience and adaptive capacities. My work is deeply driven by a passion for addressing the vulnerabilities of marginalized communities and advancing equitable and sustainable solutions to the challenges posed by environmental change.
