My overall research interests and expertise interconnects the disciplines of climate, agriculture and ecosystems. Based on Land Use Dynamic Simulator (LUDAS) approach, I worked on “Simulating agricultural land-use adaptation under changing climate using multi-agent system model” to focus on identifying critical processes for improving food security, climate resilience and ecosystem services integrity in the face of changing environment and answer question on whether certain adaptation decisions made at farm household level are stimulated by climate change.
I spent five years (2015-2020) working with regional institutions, and International NGO in technical advisory in projects development and implementing.
Since 2020 as Country Coordinator of CRS, then WRI, I have been Working in Niger with key stakeholders including technical partners, Government, and research institutions to develop framework that takes into account biophysical, socio-economic and governance aspects to guide these key actors and strengthen their technical capacity to achieve forest and Agricultural landscape restoration at scale.
