Founder of the Instituto Homem Pantaneiro – IHP (Man Pantaneiro Institute), an NGO that aims to work on nature conservation and pantaneiro culture in the Pantanal. Creator and responsible for the training of the first soldiers who composed the Environmental Military Police in the Pantanal region. Creator of the course  Strategy for Nature Conservation that has been training environmental policemen throughout Brazil since 2003, directly responsible for the interruption of illegal hunting and trafficking of wild animals in the Pantanal in 1980s. Has been working in the region for more than 25 years for conservation purposes.
