"Dr. Suzan Shahin is an Assistant Professor in the General Education department and Head of Research & Development @ Umm Al Quwain University (UAQU). Dr. Shahin has a Ph.D. in Horticultural Science and a Master degree in Environmental Sciences (both obtained from the United Arab Emirates University). Dr. Shahin is an active researcher in multi-disciplines and a pioneer in the field of the UAE medicinal aromatic plants. Dr. Shahin has worked for more than 10 years in the field of research & has several publications in peer-reviewed journals related to horticulture & environmental sciences. She is an active member in the IUCN SSC Medicinal Plant Specialist Group (MPSG)".
