I would describe myself as a problem solver and a conscientious team player that leads by example. I always work to meet deadlines ahead of time and accomplish more than I have been set. 

My time as a civil servant and conservationist have fundamentally shaped my studies, research interests, and worldview. These experiences have also made me a more resourceful, responsive and pro-active individual. Currently, I work for the Seychelles Island Foundation (SIF), a leading environmental non-governmental organisation in Seychelles. SIF is mandated with protecting my home's two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Vallée de Mai, and Aldabra. 

I started working with SIF immediately after completing an Honours in International Relations at the University of Cape Town (UCT). I chose to specialise in International Relations after completing a Bachelor's general degree in Environmental Geographic Science and International Relations, whereby I received a distinction for my International Relations major. Considering my distinction as an indicator of my interests and realising my passion in such a constantly moving and relevant field I believe that a career at the nexus of these two intersecting fields is where I am heading. To partially pay for my Honours I tutored for UCT's political science department. This experience gave me a greater appreciation for teaching and academia and now this is another field I aspire to pursue. 

Ultimately, I hope to have multiple career experiences based on the protection of my home's exceptional biodiversity; helping my country to navigate the complexities of the international political system and facilitating education in these fields and more.
