Polydor MUSAFIRI is a Young Indigenous Leader from the Democratic Republic of Congo; Co-Founder and Executive Secretary of Young Indigenous Leaders for Nature and Climate -YILNAC Network (https://www.youngindigenousleaders.org/) an African Indigenous Youth Organization whose mission is to mobilize, educate, build capacity, empower and provide technical and strategic support to young Indigenous leaders and our grassroots organizations in researching, identifying, developing and disseminating evidence-based, nature-based Indigenous solutions to the ecological and climate crises that affect the majority of indigenous peoples and local communities negatively and unfairly impacted by climate change while traditional livelihood systems, activities, knowledge and ways of life remain essential to protect nature and effectively address climate change in Africa.

Through Young Indigenous Leaders for Nature and Climate (YILNAC Network), Polydor MUSAFIRI is committed to making Climate Action a SUCCESS and has carried out several projects in capacity building of indigenous youth particularly on climate and environmental justice. , climate and ecological communication, indigenous practices of reforestation with indigenous species, problems related to forest and environmental governance, industrial projects, and investments that do not comply with environmental standards. He led three reforestation projects where 620 hectares were restored by planting 248,000 trees of native species in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo (in the Territory of Kalehe and Mwenga in the Province of South Kivu ).

It has managed to mobilize to date 1,080 indigenous volunteer members grouped in a network of 127 local indigenous youth organizations, 620 hectares of indigenous forests restored, 12 advocacy actions carried out, 248,000 trees planted, 34 nature-based solutions (NbS) supported ; through its expertise in eight programs including: Indigenous Youth Capacity Building, Nature-Based Solutions (NbS), Forest Restoration and Protection, Biodiversity Protection and Management, Climate and Environmental Justice, Indigenous Agricultural Resilience, Climate and Education ecological, Climate and ecological communication.
