As the world’s attention turns to the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi (9 -15 October 2025), PANORAMA and its partners are gearing up to host a dynamic series of events. From interactive receptions to deep-dive learning sessions, launches, and a podcast, these events will showcase how PANORAMA advances global priorities for biodiversity conservation, climate action, and sustainable development, while aligning with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).
Here is what to look forward to:
PANORAMA Networking Reception: Where Local Solutions Spark Global Impact (11 October, 7:30-09:00pm, IUCN Programme Pavilion)
This interactive reception will bring together Solution Providers, strategic partners, and potential donors for meaningful connections. The event combines panel discussions, informal networking, and a lively “Solution Speed-Dating” format, giving donors the chance to engage directly with high-impact Solutions on themes such as freshwater, mangroves, and protected areas as well as the PANORAMA Team.
Highlights of the evening will include the launch of the PANORAMA App, presentation of a report reflecting on over a decade of PANORAMA, as well as the announcement of the new PANORAMA Ambassadors cohort, celebrating inspiring champions of solution-sharing and knowledge management.
PANORAMA partners will host two hands-on sessions in the Learning Zone, designed to equip practitioners with practical tools:
Crowdfunding for Conservation (10 October, 04:30-06:30pm)
Drawing on UNDP’s Crowdfunding Academy, BIOFIN-supported campaigns, and Solution Provider experiences, participants will engage in guided exercises to strengthen their skills in designing crowdfunding initiatives.
Shaping Collaborative Learning through PANORAMA: Combining Practitioner Knowledge with Diverse Evidence (12 October, 08:30-10:30am)
This event, hosted by GIZ, will provide an introduction to the use of the PANORAMA methodology for strengthening communities of learning, and will dive into an example of a community that has used PANORAMA to document their knowledge and support scaling of their solutions.

Hot Off the Press: PANORAMA's first-ever global report (10 October, 11:30am-12:10pm)
Drawing on surveys, analytics, and case studies, the report highlights how PANORAMA has fostered collaboration, informed policy and practice, and supported practitioners in adapting and applying solutions in new contexts.
Discover, Adapt, Apply: Hands-on with PANORAMA and IUCN’s Contributions for Nature Platforms (11 October, 08:30-09:30am)
An interactive drop-in clinic for participants to explore two powerful and complementary IUCN tools: PANORAMA – Solutions for a Healthy Planet and the Contributions for Nature Platform.

Launches and announcements at Congress
The PANORAMA initiative has a number of exciting new developments in store for the conservation community gathered in Abu Dhabi:
- Report, reflecting on a decade of PANORAMA - For the first time ever, this report will summarize how PANORAMA has contributed to change in the world, by influencing policy and practice through knowledge sharing.
- A new cohort of PANORAMA Ambassadors, spreading the word about the initiative, sourcing Solutions from their networks.
- PANORAMA mobile app – Making Solutions more accessible than ever.
- Multilingual web platform - A new auto-translation feature will enable users to view the content of the PANORAMA web platform in any of 14 languages, making the platform more inclusive for its global audience of practitioners.
- Tech4Nature award ceremony - The award will celebrate champions of innovative solutions for technology use in conservation.
- New "Solutions in Focus" publications
