Md. Maksudur Rahman is a groundbreaking environmental leader in Bangladesh. He is an Environmental Activist. He is one of the founder member and Chief Executive of Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS).

He has dedicated over a decade to advancing environmental sustainability, community development, mangrove conservation and restoration; and climate resilience and contributing to achieve the sustainable development goals.

Under his visionary leadership, BEDS has received 2024 UN Equator Prize, Top National Environment Award as well as Energy Globe National Award and additionally, the project "the Sundarbans Ecovillage in Bangladesh" was selected to be showcased at Expo 2020 Dubai’s Global Best Practice Program.
